I really enjoyed my stay at St. Peters School.
The afternoons were very informative. I liked my lessons with Katie.
The grammarlessons were ok, but sometimes 3 hours were a bit too much in my opinion.
The school facilities were quiet out of date (tables, chairs etc.). Als the book was old fashioned. The Wifi poor.
Overall I had a very good stay and learned a lot but maybe a big screen to show films or something like that would ne nice.
Thank you for your comments. We are pleased you had such a good week at St Peter's!!
One of the great things about the school is the historic, beautiful setting of this period building but it needs continuous work and upgrading, which is something that happens to the facilities every year.
The course books we use are carefully selected for the level, age and interest of the students and the morning lessons cover vocabulary, listening, speaking and pronunciation as well as grammar.
We are sorry about the WIFI signal; we have excellent coverage throughout the school but the special WIFI plugs were knocked out of sync and we didn't realize at the time. It was quickly rectified and we monitor it closely now.
We would love to welcome you back. Returning students are eligible for a 5% discount on courses.
I spend a very nice week with the rest of students, with my travel partner Alvaro. We weren't housed with a family of the academy, but our host family was very nice. Our class was very funny and nice and we learned a lot of things about another cultures and met a lot of people. The teachers were amazing, they were very friendly, helpful and amiable. The location of the academy was so good, because you have all the things that you need near you, and inside the school there was a bar and offered a lot of services. We were there for only one week and we couldn't participate in any activity, but I remember that there were many.Arată detalii » Citiţi mai mult...

Thank you so much. It was great to have you here.
You are welcome back any time and are eligible for a discount if you do :)
In general, everything was great. The teachers were nice, friendly and willing to help. The only problem was that the classes weren't really challenging, but we (my friends and I) asked if we could change certain classes and the school was happy to help.
I found the location of the school great, because it was right in the centre of the city and it wasn't hard to find.
The housing was the best too. Our host family was really nice!
Thank you for the feedback Lucija we are delighted you had a good time. Over the course of a year there are many students coming and going and occasionally some like to try out other classes. We are always happy to consult our students and re-arrange anything if it helps. Being an independent school makes it easier for us to keep in continuous contact with what our students need. St Peter's.
Teachers were very well prepared and helpful. I was never bored. I liked discussions with other students and information about their life. Organization of the school is very practical and the idea of changing teachers during a day is clever. Changing topics and learning skills is helpful. Good coffee at the break upstairs. Everybody is smiling and giving you more confidence and teachers really want to teach you the best English you can manage.Arată detalii » Citiţi mai mult...
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are very happy you enjoyed your time here!
My experience was really nice. I met a lot of interesting people who became good friends. The school has a very good level of English and the teachers help you and give you all the information that you need to do your best. The location is perfect because the school is in the centre of the town and Canterbury is a very beautiful place full of young people (most of them students) and with a wide variety of activities or trips to do. The school organized a lot of events in order to make you meet other people or know the culture or the most important places of East England. I can't say anything bad about my experience because it was even better than I expected and I would definitely repeat it again. Only one thing, I missed spanish food a lot.Arată detalii » Citiţi mai mult...

The United Kingdom is the home of the English language. There is no better place, in our opinion, to study it a good understanding of it. England, of course, has many other things to see and do. It enjoys an ancient history from Neolithic times to the Romans, Normans, Vikings and much more. Modern Britain is diverse, exciting and varied all typified not just by the countryside but by cities such as London, which our school is very near to. These cities have a very modern, cosmopolitan culture accessible to all.
The city of Canterbury has extremely ancient roots. It boasts Bronze Age, Iron Age and Neolithic remains and was the most important settlement in Kent before the Romans occupation in 43AD. Yet despite this, the city continued to flourish becoming a vital regional capital for 300 years until the Roman Empire left Britain. The visitor can still view numerous Roman traces today and there is a dedicated Roman museum in the town centre to commemorate this important era. Over the following centuries, Canterbury saw a major revival as an Anglo-Saxon and ancient Christian centre, roots that began after St Augustine’s arrival to convert the invaders back to the ‘true faith’ in 595. He was regarded by many as the ‘Apostle to the English’ and became the first Archbishop of Canterbury. His abbey ruins remain a major tourist draw. Though Canterbury suffered during the Viking raids culminating in the 1011 massacre when the Danes pillaged and burned much of the city, Canterbury ironically recovered after becoming a major centre again under William the Conqueror whereby the Normans added much to the town’s rich architectural heritage. The cathedral is famous throughout the world as in 1170 Archbishop Thomas Becket was murdered here and it became the very heart of the Anglican religion after Henry V111 broke from Rome. It is a centre of culture too being the home of Christopher Marlowe Shakespeare’s famous literary rival and has strong links to Saint Alphege. Today Canterbury, for its size and helped by the Channel Tunnel, is one of the most visited small cities in Britain.
